1. What is your Hospital Operating Hour?
Generally, clinic operating hours run from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and from 8:30am until 12:30 pm on Saturday.
For medical needs beyond the normal operation hours, patients may proceed to the Accident & Emergency unit that operates 24 hours daily. Please contact the hospital at 07-225 3000 for more details as clinic operating hours may vary.

2. Can relatives stay with patients?
Each patient is allowed only ONE companion to stay overnight. However, male companions are NOT allowed in a female room. In the Paediatric ward, one parent may stay overnight with the child at no extra charge.

3. Is there any cafeteria in KPJ Johor?
There two Cafeterias which are operated by Marrybrown that serves a wide variety of Malaysian cuisine. It is open from 7:30 am to 6.00 pm daily. The cafeteria is located at the Outpatient Block (1st Floor) and Inpatient Block (2nd Floor).

4. What is your Hospital Visiting Hours?
Your family and friends are welcome to visit during your stay here with us. The visiting hours are from 12.00 pm until 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm until 9.00 pm.
STRICTLY NO VISITORS AFTER 9:00 PM
For health reasons, visitors are advised not to bring children below 12 years of age up to the wards. Visitors are not encouraged to visit during the morning hours as consultants are making their rounds and nurses need to carry out nursing care procedures on the patients.
ICU/CCU/CICU patients at the Intensive Care/Coronary Intensive Care Unit are allowed only ONE visitor at a time with a maximum of two visitors per visiting period.

5. Any FREE PARKING if you are a patient at KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital?
What are the charges and where to pay?
Ample car park spaces are available at a reasonable rate of RM 1.00 per hour, up to a maximum of RM 5.00, if you park at the Hospital's premises from 7:00 am ? 6.00 pm.
All payment can be made at the parking machine or at the payment counter before exiting.
For discharge patient, FREE PARKING is provided. Only one vehicle per discharge patient is allowed. Proceed to Operator Room to get your ticket stamp.

6. Will I have any difficulty communicating?
No, we have staffs that are proficient in all major languages spoken in Malaysia (Malay, English, Mandarin, Tamil and Bahasa Indonesia).
If a translator is required during your stay, you can request for one before admission.

7. What do I need to bring with me on admission?
As you prepare for your stay at KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital, we advise that you bring along some personal items such as pyjamas, slippers as well as toiletries. You may bring along some magazines or books to read.
If you are taking any medication, please bring these along and hand them to the Nurse In Charge, who should also be informed if you suffer from any allergies.
For security reasons we would advice that you not bring electronic equipment, valuables, jewellery or large sums of cash into the hospital.

8. How can I pay?
KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital accepts payment by cash, credit card or debit card.

9. How do I get a copy of an itemized bill?
For cash paying customer, an itemized bill can be requested from the Finance Office at Level 4 Outpatient Building.
For patients that used an insurance coverage, patient must first acquire an AUTHORIZATION LETTER from their insurance provider. Upon receiving the letter, an itemized bill can be requested from the Finance Office at Level 4 Outpatient.
